Vision
A world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
The Alzheimer Society of Canada is the leading nationwide health charity supporting people living with all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their caregivers and their families.
We rely on individual and corporate donors, communities and healthcare partners to help us deliver on our mission.
Active in communities across Canada, the Society offers programs and support services, fundraises to advance research, advocates for policy change and increases public awareness.

The significance of the Forget Me Not symbol
- The Alzheimer Society uses the Forget Me Not flower as a symbol to represent memory loss, one of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.
- The Forget Me Not is also a reminder to remember people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as their caregivers.
- The three flowers in the symbol represent the person with dementia, the caregiver and the Alzheimer Society.
